Travel and accommodation
By airplane
For arrivals by airplane, we recommend flying to Innsbruck or Munich Airport (approx. two hours from Innsbruck). From Munich you can connect to Innsbruck by either train, bus or shuttle service:
» Train: DB
» Bus: flixbus.at, approx EUR 20.-, best booked in advance.
» Shuttle: FOURSEASONS Shuttle, approx. EUR 59.- one way from Munich to Innsbruck, EUR 118.- return.
If you decide to travel by train, exit at ‘Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof‘, which is well connected to Zürich, Munich, Italy and Vienna. By car
Using Austria’s motorways requires a vignette, which can be purchased at petrol stations for either ten days (EUR 9,60), two months (EUR 28,20) or the current calendar year (93,80). Federal highways are toll-free but might be time consuming.
